I love the bottle for looks but when I bought the original Urban Decay primer potion (UDPP) I cut the bottle open and emptied it all into a clean jar because I had heard so many people complain about how much was left in the genie bottle after the applicator couldn't pick any more up.
The problem I found in doing this was that it dried out a bit in the jar and didn't go on as smooth so I never used it. I'm glad to see the new UDPP's have a bent wand which will help get into most corners of the bottle.
So this is what the potion looks like when you take it out of the plastic. (sorry for the quality of the pic)
I swatched it on my hand and you can see here its a nice champagne color that is more shimmery (slightly) than glittery. This was before I blended it in.
I decided I was going to wear silver eyes yesterday so to see the difference I blended in the UDPP on my hand that I had swatched and then applied "Electra" by MAC directly on top. To see the difference I also put some shadow in the same color on top that had no UDPP under. You can see here that the side (bottom) with the UDPP under it is more vibrant and looks more opaque where as the top swatch isn't as bright and in fact you can see my skin coming through.

I applied it to my lids, put on my makeup and went out. This is me 5-6 hours later. The shadow still looked bold and stayed on quite well, oh and it didn't crease at all!
I really liked the texture of the primer and it blended well with just my finger (I didn't used the wand as I need to keep it sanitary for my kit so I'm not sure how well it works).

Ive heard that some people even apply this alone as a shadow since its a nice champagne color but personally I wasn't over the moon about it alone on the lid. Id rather use a light colored shadow then waste my UDPP.
Conclusion: If you're a fan of the original UDPP and you're looking for something that has slightly more color or if you have been looking for a lid primer to keep your shadow vibrant and crease free I would definitely recommend this primer. It will cost you approx $22 CDN + tax at Sephora but since a little goes a long way it should last you a long time.
I will be adding this to my kit along with all my other preferred primers which you can read about here.

I have a sample of this that came with the Baked Palette (which I love!) but haven't tried this out. Looks great on you!
I loved your blog. Thank you.
