My idea is to flank each window with ceiling to floor neutral cream toned drapes so that it all kinda blends together with the stones on the fire place. FI isn't so sold on that idea so I was wondering what would YOU do to filter out the glare on the TV these windows create?

After moving into our new home we got our TV set up over the fire place and finally have a second to relax. Problem is these 2 bright windows on either side of our fire place/TV area. They allow so much light in that the glare on the TV makes it hard to watch so what do we do??

what about a grey color? like silver/grey? it would add a bit more color than a cream but wouldn't take the attention away from the gorgeous fireplace.
Ooo, can't wait to visit!! Let me know once you have settled in and are ready for visitors. ;) xo
i was thinking maybe taking a chance with a bold pop of color. How about a burnt orange? In any case, I definitely think ceiling to floor drapes would do the trick! Can't wait to see the results.
I think window-length window treatments would be best, you're right that with the floor-to-celing fireplace everything would just look too long with the long curtains. Why not do a dark grey, or dark taupe, pulling the colour from the brick?
Did you figure out what to do? I'm having the same issue. We have a nook above our fireplace w/ the tv and the 2 windows on the side.
